Pale Moon in a Very Blue Sky (May, 2023)
JacobTV's Pale Moon, performed by Laura Lentz!
JacobTV describes this piece: "PALE MOON IN A VERY BLUE SKY is a raga, composed in the early spring of 2020, during the Covid 19 pandemic. During an early morning run, I was surprised and touched by a pale full moon in a clear blue sky, unspoilt by the usual chemtrails. The raga was meant for an imaginary instrument and Laura is the first to explore and record the flute version of Pale Moon, so it is dedicated to her." |

LIPSTICK (March, 2022)
JacobTV's LIPSTICK, performed by Laura Lentz.
This music video explores the rabbit hole of social media — what is reality when the pursuit of reactions and followers blurs the distinction between the real world and the world of social media. JacobTV’s composition, composed in 1998, is based on sound types from American talk show TV. Twenty four years later, the social media technology has changed the landscape hugely, but the underlying human conditions, perhaps not so much. |
